The Badger's Den
About Me

Who is the Badger Lord?

Greetings!

Either you have clicked on the wrong link or you actually want to learn more about me. Wow. ::goggles::

Well, I am an eighteen year old college student. I'm a biology major, although I'm not quite sure what I would like to do with my life, other than somehow using squirrels, cheese and my very heavy chemistry book in my nefarious plot for world domination.

During the rare hours I am not whipping my bumbling minions into shape, I enjoy reading a little something called fanfiction. For those of you unfamiliar with fanfic, it is a term for original fiction based on t.v. shows, books, etc. My first fandom was the X-Files, and after a few years of getting over the denial that the show actually ended, I moved on to the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fandoms. A few months ago I tried my hand at writing fics for The Dead Zone, which are of course located on this site.

My favorite books include the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings trilogy (I hate to admit it, but I'm one of those screaming Legolas fangirls), the Prydain chronicles, anything by Mercedes Lackey and Anne McCaffrey, and finally, of course, the Redwall series, from which my nickname comes from ;-)

When I'm not reading, writing, attending classes or taking over the world, I watch Smallville, Stargate, the Dead Zone, Monk, and re-runs of Star Trek TNG , the X-Files, and seaQuest. For those of you familiar with sQ, I am still in mourning over the untimely loss of Jonathan Brandis, the actor who played the one and only Lucas Wolenczak. He will be sorely missed.

Since I'm a big X-Files fan, I am fascinated by the paranormal (although ironically, I'm a Scullyist . . .) Two things in particular that interest me are sea monster sightings (ie. Loch Ness) and ghosts. Although I have never actually experienced a haunting, there is much scientific evidence that suggests that *something* is going on. Obviously there are many hoaxes, but I like to collect as much research as possible concerning hauntings. Since attend a very old university I decided that this site would focus on the hauntings in actual colleges. In the links section I have provided links to other fascinating paranormal sites. Feel free to drop me a line about anything :)

Cheers,

Badger Lord
